In the Nielsen’s Global Aging Report found that only 14 out of 100 Singaporeans are financially ready for retirement.
The survey also found that Singapore ranked the lowest when compared to the Asia Pacific (22 per cent) and global (18 per cent) averages.
A majority of them (82%) said personal savings would be their primary source of retirement income.
In the report it was found that one in three Singaporeans dream to retire before reaching 60 years of age,
Officially, the current statutory retirement age in Singapore is 62 years.
